Famous for its repertory theatre and salmon ladder, the town is close to many fabulous landmarks and attractions, including Blair Castle, Scone Palace, Dunkeld, Kenmore and the Scottish Crannog centre. Outdoor activities could include hiking and mountain biking, and of course golf, with a number of fine courses within easy reach of the castle. The lochs, valleys and hills of Perthshire can be seen in all directions, leading visitors directly into the heart of the Scottish highlands.

Fonab Castle Hotel has just twenty-six luxury rooms and suites, located in the historic castle, and the newly built woodlands wing. Elegantly furnished and spacious, rooms come with king size beds and feature a range of amenities, including Smart TVs, indulgent hospitality trays and a Nespresso coffee machine. Furnishings also include Egyptian Cotton bedding from The White Company, luxury bathrobes and slippers. Fonab Castle Hotel offers two fine dining options, the Fonab Brasserie, a relaxed and informal dining experience with fantastic views over Loch Faskally, and the AA two-rosetted 'Sandemans on the Loch' gastronomic restaurant, which serves a nine course gourmet menu in the evenings from Wednesday to Saturday.
