Tancat de Codorniu was built in the 19th Century and is located at the southernmost point of Catalonia, in the county of Montsià, near the town of Alcanar. This traditional estate has been painstakingly restored and modernised and now offers luxurious accommodation in a tranquil rural setting.

This charming boutique hotel stands in 3,5 hectares of land and is located at a distance of just 200 metres from the beach. It is completely surrounded (hence the name, the Codorniu "enclosure") by 2,500 orange trees in full cultivation.

Ideal for visiting this spectacular region, El Montsià has just about everything. Long sandy beaches, plains of orange groves and spectacular mountains. The river Ebro delta is just a short drive away, and this region produces highly appreciated varieties of rice. The bustling fishing port of Sant Carles de la Rapita is just a fifteen minute drive away, while the historic city of Tortosa is also within easy reach.

Tancat de Codorniu also has a fine restaurant, serving traditional cuisine of the region using the finest local produce, freshly caught seafood and fruit and vegetables from the hotel's own farm.

Family Suite:
There are two rooms in this category: the luxury Panorama, with sea and mountain views, and luxury Tarongers, overlooking the garden and the pool. These rooms are located on the second floor of the hotel.

Alfonso XII Suite:
This room has sea views and overlooks the orange garden. It has a terrace with splendid views over the entire estate. It is located on the second floor of the hotel. There is a spacious living room with sofas and armchairs.
Double Special No. 9:
This is a modern room with a Jacuzzi for two adults and a separate shower. It also has a large terrace overlooking the orange garden, with sea views. This room is on the first floor.
Double Special Sauna:

The Private Lake complex:
The lake complex has two adjoining rooms that can be joined on petition. It includes a private garden with a fish pond and an outdoor swimming pool. The complex is located in an orange grove on the hotel estate, about 100 metres from the main building.
