Located in the heart of the Grecìa Salentina countryside near Cutrofiano, Critabianca is set in a painstakingly restored historic noble residence, once the property of Jean Goulart de Sauméry, regent of Castel del Monte during the Angioini period.

Ideally placed for discovering the fascinating region of Salento, Critabianca is within easy reach of the beaches of Gallipoli, the exuberant Baroque architecture of Lecce, or the ancient port city of Otranto. Surrounded by olive groves, prickly pear trees and the typical dry stone walls of the region, Critabianca invites both relaxing contemplation and active holidays. On site, Critabianca boasts a large outdoor swimming pool, perfect for cooking dips after a busy day's sightseeing. Taking full advantage of the house's ancient historic structure, Critabianca offers individually designed and decorated rooms and suites, each with a unique atmosphere and delightful views. All rooms feature luxurious linens and bathrobes, en-suite bathrooms.

The Romantic Room:
This is a charming room with an intimate, cosy atmosphere, enriched with precious details such as its small antique fireplace, a barrel vault and a peculiar masonry headboard. The Small Balcony Room:

The Stallion's Room:
Created in the ancient stable, its stone basins, iron rings and the grooves created over time by the harnesses of the animals are picturesque elements of this room, enhanced with soft pillows and sateen bed linens, and characterised by a small outside area with a generous lemon tree and sweet-smelling flowers. This is a room of refined simplicity. The Architect's Room:
This is a room where ancient carved stone blends with a mosaic of views and atmospheres, embellished by riches in the walls that project a soft light, creating an intimate environment. Of great impact, its large basins are set in the floor, rediscovered together with some of this country house's most ancient historic artefacts, where the harvested wheat was stored. The Suite:
This is the largest room in the house. Airy and refined, its walls are decorated with traces of the frescoes from the 1800s. Its white ''double star'' vault, the solid wrought iron bed and the rustle of the light gauze curtains on the floor made of Lecce's peculiar stone give the impression of being in a timeless environment. The charm of Salento's ancient world is expressed in all its strength through the characteristic arched terrace amid agaves and earthenware vases. A 37 sq m double room with dual outlooks.
