Guests can go canoeing or fishing on the lake, take walking tours around the huge grounds of the property, or enjoy easy rides on the resorts bicycles. The raison d'être of the resort is its Lusitano horse breeding farm, and Monte Velho offers a huge range of riding activities and packages, including training, lessons and full stable facilities. Guest can ride indoors, outdoors on the Olympic sized arena, go for longer rides on the estate's 250 hectares of private land or in the surrounding National Ecological Reserve.

Tradition Twin Room:
The Tradition rooms offer a charming rural ambience. Located in the original wing of the property, featuring Alentejo construction, these rooms offer an intimate, comfortable atmosphere. En suite bathroom. Two single beds. Room size 20 sq m.
Premium Double or Twin Room:
The Premium rooms offer a contemporary atmosphere with a sophisticated design. The privileged location of these three rooms provide breathtaking views of the dam in the valley right in front of the Monte Velho. They open out onto a balcony with countryside views. Separated from the bedroom by a glass wall, the private bathroom includes a modern walk-in shower. There is also a terrace with an outdoor shower. One king size bed or twin beds.

Tradition Suite:
The Tradition Suite consists of a bedroom with two single beds and a small living room with a kitchenette. It has a traditional and welcoming atmosphere. En-suite bathroom. Two single beds. Room size 30 sq m.

All rooms and suites feature: air-conditioning; iPod/iPhone docking stations; flat screen television; en-suite bathroom; Nespresso coffee machine. Extra beds are not available. Baby cots may be added to rooms on request.
