Close to a variant of the Camino de Santiago pilgrims trail, the area is a hiker's and mountain biker's paradise, and El Gran Sueño's multi-lingual staff have recorded a number of walks in the area on WikiLoc, and maps can also be printed out on request. Nearby attractions include the Romanesque churches of Santa María at Villamayor and San Juan de Berbío at Infiesto, while the Santuario de Covadonga and the Picos de Europa are also within easy reach. Other options for outdoor enthusiasts include canoeing and kayaking, canyoning, caving or horse riding.

Galería: This space has a uniqueness. Originally the sitting room, the galería is eclectically decorated with a mixture of antique furniture salvaged from the house and modern designer pieces. The beautiful Juliet balcony captures views of the Sierra del Sueve and a generous seating area offers a space to relax and enjoy the views of the surrounding buildings and gardens. Plaza: Once the master bedroom of the house, this room maintains its former character as a tranquil space. An original Juliette balcony frames views of country life in a hamlet and the sunsets behind the mountains of central Asturias are an impressive sight.
