How to get here: By car: From the north, via Salzburg on the A 10 Tauernautobahn south to Bischofshofen, exit 47 Gasteinertal. Continue on the B 311 to Lend, turn left onto the B 167 to Bad Hofgastein - Bad Gastein. From the south, go via Villach, Spttal, Möllbrücke and Obervellach to Mallnitz and there board the Tauernschleuse (motorail service through the tunnel) to Gastein.
