This historic property has been owned and run by the same family for seven generations, and is located in a former coaching inn and staging post for boatmen on the river Lahn. Landhotel zum Bären is now a charming boutique hotel offering luxurious accommodation and fine cuisine in an idyllic riverside setting.

Standing in the romantic Lahn valley at the foot of Schaumburg castle, between Taunus and Westerwald, Landhotel zum Bären is an ideal starting point for walking tours, water sports activities and cycling tours. Fine cuisine is at the heart of Landhotel zum Bären, and guests can choose from a range of excellent dining venues. The Bibliothek gourmet restaurant is the proud holder of a Michelin star and a Gault Millau toque, and stands across the street from the main building. It features delightful wood panelling, book-lined décor and elegantly laid tables.
