Located at the far end of Old Bank Bay on Isla Bastimentos, Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge enjoys an idyllic situation, set in a number of over-water bungalows and a central restaurant and accommodation area. Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge offers eco-friendly accommodation and and a magnificent range of activities in an idyllic tropical island setting.

All of Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge's bungalows feature a private terrace with sea access, and kayaks and snorkelling gear are available for guests' use, free of charge. A delightful spot for relaxing stays on the fascinating island of Isla Bastimientos, Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge is perfect for water sports enthusiasts, surfers, hikers, nature enthusiasts or guests who simply wish to soak up the authentic Caribbean atmosphere of the island.

Eclypse de Mar has an exclusive restaurant for guests only, located on a terrace on the water, with spectacular views of some of the most stunning sunsets in the Caribbean. Continental and cooked breakfasts are served here, along with delicious lunches and dinners, all created with the finest locally sourced produce. The varied menu includes freshly caught fish or seafood from the local artisan fishing fleet, pasta, and home-made deserts, accompanied by a fine range of wines and cocktails.

Type of rooms: Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge

Standard Room:
These Rooms are not cabins/cottages like the Bungalows; they are Standard Rooms located at the front of the main building, also overwater, featuring one Queen size bed, a ceiling fan, a private bathroom with hot water (Low-Flow system for low water consumption), and a private balcony over the sea. Access to these rooms is through its own private dock. There is a stair located 10 metres from the Room entrance for ocean access.
Eclypse "Standard" Bungalow:
With a maximum occupancy of four guests, each bungalow has a bedroom with one queen-size bed and a second room with two twin beds. Both rooms are connected to a private terrace with sea access. Amenities include a private bathroom with hot water shower and low water consumption system (Low Flow System).
The Bungalows are built in local wood, with natural palm-leaf (penca) roofing, providing a cool atmosphere, tasteful decoration and high quality finishing in the finest Caribbean-style architecture. All bungalows offer a unique view of the most stunning sunsets in Bocas del Toro as well as glass viewing-floors for watching sealife just below guests' feet from inside the Bungalow.
Eclypse Honeymoon Suite Bungalows:
Designed for two guests, each of these two new spacious Honeymoon Suite Bungalows enjoys an unmatched location (at the far end of the pier for maximum privacy) ensuring an open view and the best sunsets in the archipelago. There is a large bedroom with a king-size bed with a private en-suite bathroom (featuring a hot shower system and low water consumption - Low Flow System) emphasizing quality and classic-rustic design. The bed and the rest of furniture have been hand-crafted by a skilled local carpenter in top quality wood. The king- size canopy bed draped with delicate curtains provides an environment filled with tropical romance. In addition, there is a convenient built-in ceiling fan.
A glass panel placed on the floor of the main room is perfect for watching sealife just below guests' feet from inside the Bungalow.
A second room offers a spacious relaxed atmosphere, with a comfortable two-seater sofa and an exclusive overwater glass coffee-table offering guests a view of the seabed from inside the Bungalow. Both rooms are connected to a private terrace with sea access. This third open air space features two chaise-longues and a hammock to enjoy both the sun and the delicate breezes at sunset. A freshwater outdoor shower located on the terrace/deck is provided for guests' comfort (available only in Suite Bungalows).
