Located on a sunny high plateau on the edge of tranquil Reit im Winkl at the foot of the Bavarian Alps, the Relais & Châteaux Gut Steinbach Hotel and Chalets stretches over 51 hectares. In addition to a main building, the hotel includes a chalet village with a natural swimming pond and a suite courtyard with three premium suites. The wellness area was opened in 2021 and covers more than 2,000 m².

The location of Gut Steinbach in the Upper Bavarian Chiemgau Alps makes it perfect for a luxurious outdoor holiday in both summer and winter. Summer activities include hiking and mountain biking on magnificent mountain and valley trails, Nordic walking and golf, while in winter the region is a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts, offering cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, snowshoe or winter hiking, ski touring, tobogganing, horse-drawn carriage rides and torchlight hikes, among many further possibilities.

Gut Steinbach has a restaurant with four individually designed rooms. The kitchen has been awarded the Green Star by the Michelin Guide and is known for regional dishes of the highest quality. The new wellness area with an 18-meter indoor pool, two saunas and a steam bath, relaxation areas, fitness area and yoga room was opened in December 2021. A beauty and SPA center fulfills all relaxation wishes.

The hotel has 51 hectares of land and forest and a herd of deer, yaks, goats and geese. The hotel is known for its sustainable philosophy and attaches great importance to regional food, natural materials and Bavarian tradition.

Superior Double Room: Equipped with bath or shower, hair dryer, telephone, TV and radio, minibar and room and room safe. These spacious rooms have a balcony on the east side with morning sun and a view of the deer park, or on the west side with a beautiful view of the Kaiser Mountains all the way to the Geiglstein.
