Standing before the disused railway lines at Beirã, Train Spot Guest House is located in the beautifully restored railway station, a listed historic building. This charming boutique guest house offers comfortable accommodation in a unique, friendly setting. The restoration of Train Spot has incorporated many of the unique features of this splendid building, including its magnificent ceramic tiling, high ceilings with exposed timber beams, and tall arched widows. Public areas are spacious and airy, and many rooms have delightful views of the surrounding countryside.

Perfect for exploring this beautiful, unspoiled area of the Alentejo, Train Spot Guest House offers a huge range of landmarks and attractions within easy reach. The hilltop village of Marvao, with its castle perched on a rocky crag, is just ten kilometres away, while the Roman ruins of Ammaia are also close by. Outdoor activities available include hiking, cycling, horse riding and water sports. Train Spot organises traditional bread-making courses, and in summer, there are fado and flamenco concerts on the railway tracks.

Since the railway line was closed in 2012, Train Spot offers a range of different types of lodging, from double or triple rooms with a shared bathroom, to double or triple rooms with en-suite bathrooms and apartments for two to four guests.

Twin/Double Rooms with Shared Bathroom:
These rooms sleep two persons in a king-size bed or twin beds, with the option of an extra bed. Located on the first floor of the building,they offers delightful landscape views from its tall, arched windows. These rooms offer access to a bathroom (with two showers) shared with two more rooms, and are equipped with heating, a fan and free Wi-Fi. Room size 10 sq m.
Twin/Double Rooms with En-Suite Bathroom:
These rooms are also on the first floor and feature typical Alentejo fabrics. Offering fine views from their arched windows, the rooms are equipped with king-size or twin beds, and come with heating, a fan and free Wi-Fi. An extra bed is also available on request. Room size 12 sq m.
Apartments:
These spacious apartments are equipped with a large double bed or twin beds, with the optional of an additional double bed. The apartments are located on the ground floor, and consist of a bedroom, a living room, a en-suite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor garden area. They accommodate from two to four guests and are equipped with heating and a fan. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main building.
