Located in the heart of Bergamo's Città Bassa, Petronilla stands in a painstakingly restored and modernised mansion, owned by the same family since 1853. This boutique property now offers luxurious accommodation in a highly individual, sophisticated but friendly atmosphere.

Just a few hundred metres from the Via XX Settembre, one of the most fashionable shopping streets in Bergamo, Petronilla is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful city. The funicular railway to the Città Alta is just a quarter of an hour's walk away, and many of Bergamo's most important sights and attractions are within easy reach from here,including the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Piazza Vecchia and the Palazzo della Ragione.

A delicious buffet breakfast is served every morning in the two dining rooms or, in warm months, in the internal courtyard. There is also a comfortable lounge bar, where fine wines, cocktails and snacks are served. Guests can also take advantage of the basement Wellness Zone, which has a fitness area, an infra-red sauna, and hydro-massage facilities.

Queen Single:
A spacious single room with a queen-size bed on the 4th floor giving onto a terrace. Designer bed and desk, with items by Eero Saarinen and Ron Arad. An extremely elegant bathroom with surfaces and floor in yellow Iranian Travertine marble.
Deluxe Double:
There are ten individually decorated double deluxe rooms. Double or twin beds, items by Arne Jacobsen, L.M. Van der Rohe and Bertoia furnish the rooms in a mixture of the classic and the modern. In some rooms a third bed can be added, others are inter-connecting, others again are suitable for guests with limited mobility. The functional bathrooms are roomy and luxurious. Finished in marble or resin, they all have large "rain-effect" hydro showers, spacious surfaces and large mirrors.
Studio:
Filled with light, this is a spacious room on the 2nd floor that features a small terrace. It is furnished with the "Joe" baseball-glove armchair, a fine example of art meeting design, and a four-poster bed. The "Tulip" chairs and small tables bear the elegant mark of Eero Saarinen. The room features a large painting: Canto D'amore by Giorgio De Chirico, echoing the glove armchair. There is a spacious walk-in wardrobe and a roomy work table. A large bathroom containing a Teuco hydro-massage bath and a hydro-shower clad in quartzite, a basin with spacious surface and a second, smaller basin, for make-up or shaving.
