Description: Villa ValfioreLocated in the heart of the Bologna countryside near the town of San Lazzaro, Villa Valfiore is set in a beautifully restored 19 century villa. This luxury boutique hotel is set in a splendid Mediterranean garden, featuring centenary Lebanon cedars, maritime pines, boxwood and pagoda trees, and offers comfortable accommodation in a secluded, tranquil setting.Just a short drive from the centre of Bologna, with its famous Piazza Maggiore, Piazza del Nettuno and the basilica di San Petronio, among many other fantastic sights and landmarks, Villa Valfiore is ideal for relaxing visits to this splendid region. Both the splendid Medieval city of Modena, and Maranello, home of Ferrari, are less than an hour's drive away. Villa Valfiore has a fine restaurant, located in the splendid vaulted dining hall, where the chef and his team create delicious menus based on traditional Bologna cuisine and the finest local produce, while the excellent breakfast is served in the light and airy breakfast room. Guests can also take advantage of the hotel's Wellness centre, featuring a Finnish Sauna and sensory showers. There is also a large outdoor pool, perfect for cooling dips in the splendid surroundings of the garden. They are around 16 square metres in size and the queen-size beds measure 160 cm. Decorated in colours that vary from room to room, all the rooms are equipped with a full range of facilities: satellite TV, air-conditioning, hair dryer, internet access, mini-bar and safe, as well as a set of top-quality courtesy items. Superior Rooms, Superior Garden Rooms: Villa Valfiore offers eight Superior double rooms: six are in the Villa itself, while the two Superior Garden rooms, larger (22 sq m.) and more secluded, are in the two-storey annex. Each of these rooms is decorated with a different colour scheme, and have king-size beds (180 cm). In addition to the set of complimentary courtesy items, bathrobes and towels are provided for the wellness area. Guests staying in the superior rooms are entitled to an exclusive, limited offer that includes wellness treatments. From Tangenziale (Freeway) of Bologna to the Hotel: Take the Tangenziale to San Lazzaro di Savena, pass the San Lazzaro exit (No. 13), turn slightly right onto Complanare Sud/SP28 (signposted Idice/SP28/Croce Idice / Complanare Sud) for 2,9 km. Take the first exit to Idice 0,3 km., at the roundabout take the third exit onto Via Montanara/SP28 2,2 km. At the next roundabout take the third exit for 0,5 km. towards Ozzano, Via Emilia/SS9.
