Description: La Genzianella BormioEnjoying a fine location in a quiet area of Bormio, La Genzianella Bormio is a charming design hotel offering comfortable accommodation in an authentic, friendly Alpine atmosphere. Just 300 metres from the Bormio-2000 cable car, the hotel is ideally situated for winter sports enthusiasts. Bormio's Alta Valtellina ski area is perfect for skiers of all levels, and guests will find many other activities in the area, including cross-country skiing, snowshoe treks, ice skating and sledging.The hotel is a member of Italy Bike Hotels, and as such offers a wide range of services and activities especially tailored for cyclists. These include an indoor bike storage room, a small workshop, bike wash area and free laundry service for bike clothes. Bormio is surrounded by some of Europe's most famous mountain passes, including the Mortirolo, Gavia, Stelvio and the Bernina, and the hotel offers advice and routes for road cyclists. Mountain bikers are equally well catered for, with an expert bike instructor on hand to offer advice on local trails and tours. Other summer activities include hiking and mountaineering, horse riding and golf. La Genzianella Bormio boasts a fine restaurant where the chef and his team prepare delicious menus with the accent on regional cuisine and local produce. Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, and guests can choose from a wide range of dishes, including hot and cold buffets, English and continental breakfasts, and home-made cakes and breads.
