Château de Penfrat is situated in a sympathetically restored 19th century mansion, originally built in 1859 by the famous French architect Joseph Bigot. Standing just a twenty minute drive from the centre of the historic town of Quimper, Château de Penfrat is perfect for relaxing visits to this lovely corner of Brittany. Decidedly committed to outdoor activities, guests at the château can enjoy sailing on the river Odet or on the coast, horse riding, hiking and canoeing from the property. Golf is also available at two excellent courses nearby.

The Château de Penfrat offers delicious table d'hôtes dining, with menus inspired by the ocean, traditional French cuisine and featuring market fresh seasonal produce. Guests are free to visit the cellar and choose their wine, with the expert guidance of the château's owners.

Holiday Cottage:
This charming cottage is hidden in the château's grounds, and offers spacious self-catering accommodation in the heart of the Breton countryside. The ground floor consists of aliving room, a dining area and a well equipped kitchen (micro-wave, oven, dish washer, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, fridge, freezer), TV set. Baby chair on demand. One bedroom with a double bed with with direct access to the garden. WC, store room and garage. The first floor has one bedroom with a double bed, and a second room with two single beds. Baby cots are available on request. One fully equipped bathroom with bath tub and shower, and one WC. Laundry room. Cottage size approximately 220 sq m.
