This magnificent guest house enjoys a privileged location, standing between the lake and the church in the beautiful historic town of Broek in Waterland. The Inn on the Lake is situated in the old vicarage of the church, and after a careful renovation and restoration, now offers luxurious boutique accommodation in just four charming rooms.

Time stands still in Broek in Waterland, just twelve kilometres from the centre of Amsterdam, yet seemingly in another world and another epoch. This charming little town has maintained much of its historic character, and is surrounded by green fields, polders, dykes and canals. In spite of its rural character, it offers excellent links with the city, and bus and tram tickets are available on site.

The Inn on the Lake organises bespoke tours to the most beautiful spots in Holland, including half day and full day excursions. Guests can also enjoy cycling in the surrounding countryside, or boat trips on the lake and canals. Every morning a delicious, home made breakfast is prepared for guests, including home-made bread and jams, fresh fruit salads, cheese and traditional meats, all kinds of egg dishes, real coffee and a wonderful choice of teas. Private dining is also available at the Inn on the Lake, featuring weekly table d'hôte menus based on the finest local produce and regional recipes.

Red Room:
The Red Room is located on the first floor, and is quiet and peaceful. Designed by Elitis and Mulberry, it has views of the lake and the river. The Red Room features high beamed ceilings and antique rafters and chandeliers. The en-suit bathroom comes with a rain Shower and Bath, heated floors and towel rack. Suitable for 2 guests. One queen-size Vi-spring bed.
Taupe Room:
This charming room is located on the ground floor and offers views of the garden and the old church. It features high ceilings with exposed beams, and comes with an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. It is suitable for up to 3 guests, and is equipped for guests with limited mobility. One Vi-spring queen-size bed. One extra bed or baby cot available on request.
Black&White Room:
This is the most romantic room in the house, and offers charming views of the garden and the lake. Once the vicar's bedroom, it is highly suitable for newly-weds anniversaries or romantic getaways. Has a spacious lounge area, and comes with a king-size Vi-spring bed. The en-suite bathroom features a rain shower and a free-standing bathtub.
Blue Room:
The Blue Room is a large family room overlooking the lake and the church square. It features an en-suite bathroom and boudoir, and comes with a walk-in shower and heated floors. It can accommodate up to four guests (two adults and two children). The Blue Room is furnished with a queen-size bed and a single bed-stead. One extra bed or baby cot available on request.
