Description: Ellenborough ParkEnjoying a magnificent location on the edge of the Cotswolds, just outside Cheltenham, Ellenborough Park is situated in a magnificently restored and maintained historic country mansion, originally built in in 1533. After a long and eventful history, and a number of changes of use, the hotel was purchased in 2008 by its present owners, and now offers luxurious accommodation, award winning cuisine, and first-class services and facilities in a beautiful rural setting.Ideally placed for relaxing visits to Cheltenham, the hotel adjoins the racecourse and has a private access shuttle for guests on race days. All of Cheltenham's attractions - theatres, festivals and conference centre, along with many of the Cotswold's most beautiful towns and villages, are all within easy reach. On site, the hotel boasts a heated outdoor swimming pool, plus a fully equipped spa area, with a sauna, spa Jacuzzi pool, steam room, and seven treatment rooms for an extensive range of massages and therapies. The proud holder of three AA Rosettes, the oak panelled Beaufort Room is a fine dining restaurant, offering unique menus created by executive chef David Kelman, based on the finest locally sourced ingredients from the Cotswolds. For more informal dining experiences, guests can choose the Brasserie, which features an excellent country house menu. Varying in size, they are located across all four locations at Ellenborough Park. Deluxe Rooms: These 29 square metre rooms are bright and quintessentially English, with antique-style furnishings. Some De Luxe Rooms feature a private patio with access to the heated outdoor swimming pool. Luxury Rooms: Luxury Rooms are located across all four locations at Ellenborough Park. These rooms are very spacious and some include original features. Others include fantastic views across the grounds of the hotel or their own private patios. Room size 35 sq m. Stormyfairweather Suite: Stormyfairweather is a duplex Suite located within The Mews on the first and second floors. It offers 49,4 square metres split over the two floors and featuring view towards the Main House. With a private lounge on a separate floor, the Stormyfairweather Suite is ideal for families. Arkle Suite: Arkle is an elegant master open-plan suite situated on the ground floor of the Main House. 52 square metres in size and featuring oak panelling, the suite includes a private entrance. An adjoining private dining room can also be booked. The Suite also includes an original ornamental plaster ceiling, four-poster bed and 16th Century stone fireplace. Kauto Star Suite: This open plan Suite is 53 square metres in size and located on the first floor of the Main House. Views on three sides include the Ellenborough Park grounds, the front of hotel and Cheltenham Racecourse. The Suite includes a 21,1 square metre bathroom with roll top bath and walk-through shower. Istabraq Suite: Ellenborough Park's unique timbered open plan Suite is located above The Great Hall on the first floor of the main house. 56,5 square metres in size and features exposed original Tudor beams as well as four poster bed. The Suite features a 27,1 square metre bathroom and views across Ellenborough Park?s grounds towards Cheltenham Racecourse.
