The hacienda and its beautiful Jesuit period chapel have been declared cultural heritage sites for more than 40 years. Located in the heart of the countryside in the El Carmen district of Chincha, the Plaza de Armas is about 4 kilometres from the hotel.

Ideally placed for visiting the Paracas National Park, less than an hour's drive away, the hotel is also perfect for trips to the Ballestas Islands. The South Pacific beaches are also within easy reach of the hotel, about 15 kilometres distant. Casa Hacienda San José is equidistantly placed between Lima and the famous Nazca lines of southern Peru, making it and ideal stopping-off point for travellers on their way there.

Casa Hacienda San José has 12 luxury suites and 40 guest rooms, all elegantly appointed and spacious. Decorated in a manner befitting this magnificent mansion, the rooms are air-conditioned, come with large king-size or twin beds and feature a range of amenities, including flat-screen TVs, DVD Players, safes and mini-bars.
