Standing just 200 metres from the Cortina d'Ampezzo-Mandres-Faloria cable car, Hotel Ambra is an ideal place to stay for winter sports enthusiasts. A ski bus stops a short distance from the hotel, and guests have use of a heated ski room. Cortina d'Ampezzo is part of the Cadore ski region, offering 70 downhill runs for skiers of all levels. Other winter sports available include cross country skiing, snow-shoeing, tobogganing, ice skating, ice climbing, free-riding and curling. In summer months, guests are equally spoiled for choice, with mountaineering and hiking, mountain and road cycling and golf being available, among many other options.

Breakfast at Hotel Ambra is served in the cosy downstairs dining area, or in guests' rooms. There is a lounge bar area with an open fireplace for relaxing moments after busy days on the slopes, and there is also an outdoor terrace for drinks and snacks in fine weather. The whole hotel is decorated and furnished in a traditional Alpine style, with larch lined and panelled walls, natural local stone, warm decorative fabrics and fine antique furniture.

Basic Double Rooms:

Classic Rooms:
The Classic Rooms are inspired by elegant Ampezzo traditions. An evocative atmosphere created by fir and pine wood, and the decoratively inlaid four-poster bed in the Sissi room. These rooms are enhanced by authentic works of art and provide a breath-taking view of the Dolomites and the historic centre of Cortina d'Ampezzo. Bathroom with bathtub, and a complete set of courtesy items, with bubble bath, shampoo, bath salts, lotion, vanity set, sponge, slippers and robe.
Luxury Roof Rooms:
Stupendous view of the Tofane, Cristallo and Monte Faloria. Cortina style, painstaking attention to detail, local antique furniture. Warm lights reflect on the valuable wood of the beautifully crafted boiserie panelling. Rock and stone lend an air of ancient wonder. The wrought iron beds are dressed in fabulously coloured brocades.
Luxury Roof Room "Afrodite":
Afrodite is the most romantic room of the Hotel, designed to create a Honeymoon atmosphere. Guests will be enchanted by the rich boiserie and the precious details such us hunting trophies, frescoes and period mirrors. There is a hydromassage Jacuzzi for two in sight of the bedroom. The room has a comfortable sofa that can be converted into an extra bed (140 cm wide). Luxury Roof Room "Tabià":
"Tabià" in the Ampezzano language means barn, and this is the kind of atmosphere created here with wood panelling and wrought iron details. The bathroom in rock and stone, has a comfortable tub and is completed with bathrobe and slippers, VIP courtesy set. On arrival, guests will find a welcome drink and fresh fruit, a free mini-bar and breakfast served in the room.
"Hockey" Family Room:
Hockey is a tradition in Cortina, second only to skiing. The beautiful details dedicated to this sport have been skilfully combined with the refined furnishings of the room. This unique luxury room has a loft space with 2 single beds, accommodation that has the taste of the mountain history. The bathroom in rock and stone has a comfortable shower and a period mirror. Luxury Roof Room "Tofane":
The Tofane are the mountain symbols of Cortina and they provide inspiration for the bathroom with rocks, stones and bathtub. The room is full of charming little details like the wrought iron the bed-head, a convertible sofa and the wood panelling. This room may be connected to the "Olympia" room. As in all the luxury roof rooms,guests will receive luxury treatment: welcome drink and fresh fruit, bathrobe and slippers, VIP courtesy set, chocolate, free mini-bar and breakfast served in the room.
Luxury Roof Room "Olympia":
The Olympia is the run that left a mark on the sporting history of Cortina and it contiunes to provide emotions during the Women's Ski World Cup. This room is dedicated to this run. It can be connected to the "Tofane" room. This room has an enchanting collection of black and white mountain pictures and vintage "ciaspe" - snow-shoes. The bathroom has a large shower box, stone covered walls, period mirror, wooden floor and is completed with bathrobe and slippers, VIP courtesy set. The mini-bar is free and breakfast will be served in the room.
