Within the region is the town of Casavells which is home to a charming country house hotel, Encís d’Empordà. Built from a 16th century traditional masia and recently renovated, this stunning stone building and its backdrop of Empordà make for the perfect tranquil getaway. The hotel offers an outdoor pool amidst the gardens, a library with a fireplace, and two terraces to enjoy the views.

The seven suites of Encís d’Empordà are spread through the first and second floors of the building, each with their own depiction of historical periods through their artwork and design.

The location of Encís d’Empordà is ideal for beach-goers and nature-lovers. It is is incredibly close to some of Costa Brava’s most beautiful beaches and nature reserves. In the opposite direction is the Montgri Mountain and the national park of Aiguamolls de l'Empordà, perfect for hiking and cycling.

The seven rooms and suites of the hotel each portray a unique historial era of the Empordà region. Every room features a cozy fireplace, a lot of natural light, wonderful views of the Empordà, and classic tyle bathtubs. Indià: Dedicated to the Catalunyans who ventured to the Americas, this room is a bright, bould e room of 35 sqm with wonderful views coming from the large window at the foot of the bed. It has a private terrace a large bed.
Mariner: With influence from those who ventured to sea, this room is a 30 sqm double room with a large bed and decorated with sea elements such as a spacious hydromassage tub and soft marine colours. It has a lounge area with a sofa and high ceilings.
Poeta: Set in the watch tower and influenced by past poets, this duplex is perfect for four people with a space of 50 sqm. The first floor has a main bedroom, lounge area with sofa, fireplace, and a private terrace with views of the region. The second floor has a lounge area which can be changed into a second bedroom.
Artista: Perfect for two people, this room is dedicated to the artists who came to capture the beauty of the region. It is a 30 sqm room with a large double bed, a private terrace, spacious bathroom, and a lounge area.
Pubilla: This junior suite is dedicated to the women who inherited the masias. It is a bright 45 sqm double room with a large double bed styled with 1950’s glamour. It also has a large lounge area with a sofa and fireplace.
Hereu: This grand double suite of 50 sqm is incredibly romantic with its 19th century furniture, design, and murals and the massive bathtub in the center. It has a large lounge area with a sofa and fireplace and views of the Pyrenees mountains.
Viatger: This classy 40 sqm junior suite is decorated with the influence of the 1930s. it has views of the Pyrenees and furniture from around the world to live up to its name. The lounge area has a sofa and full fireplace.
