Standing four acres of carefully tended English cottage gardens, this independently owned country house hotel is ideally placed for exploring Thomas Hardy's Wessex, 'The Isle of Purbeck'. Wareham itself is steeped in history, with over 200 listed buildings, while Corfe castle, the seaside town of Swanage and the beautiful National Trust nature reserve of Studland are also within easy reach. Popular outdoor activities in the area include walking, cycling, horse-riding, golfing and of course an extensive selection of water sports.

The Priory Hotel also hosts a fine dining restaurant, where guests and visitors can enjoy classical French and English cuisine in a number of unique venues, including the delightful Garden Room or al fresco in the garden terrace. Dinner is served in the Abbot's Cellar restaurant, a magnificent heritage space of the priory, while drinks and canapés can be enjoyed in the Cloisters Bar or the Drawing Room. Moorings are available for guests arriving by boat.

Type of rooms: The Priory Hotel

Courtyard Room:
These small double bedrooms (queen-size bed), are ideal for a short stay or single occupancy. Small en-suite bathroom with shower attachment overhead. The bedroom overlooks the pretty inner courtyard; they can be accessed externally via the gravel drive.
Classic Double Bedroom:
Bright and  airy bedrooms (slightly larger than Courtyard room) with a queen-size bed, dual aspect views overlooking the pretty gardens and river. Small en-suite shower room. Located in the first or second floor.
Deluxe Double Bedroom:
Bright and airy bedrooms (slightly larger then a Classic room) with a king-size bed and views overlooking the pretty garden. Small en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. Located in the first floor. Deluxe rooms have the addition of a a seating area with table and chairs.
Superior double bedroom:
These are Superior bedrooms with a super king-size bed or twin divans (slightly larger than a Deluxe room) and views overlooking the river or pretty garden. They come with an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath or the addition of a separate shower cubicle. Located on the first or second floor, Superior rooms have the addition of soft relaxing chairs and a table. Additional amenities include a mini-bar and complimentary Hildon bottled water.
Boathouse Suite:
Luxury accommodation in the hotel's Boat house at the river's edge. Offering seclusion and privacy from the Main house, each suite has French doors opening on to a river view terrace with wood beamed character features and white wrought iron table and chairs. Additional amenities include a mini-bar and complimentary Hildon bottled water.
