This historic property enjoys a magnificent location in the heart of key west, and is situated in a carefully restored heritage building, once owned by the celebrated Key West painter, Robert Eugene Otto. Recently having undergone a thorough renovation, The Artist House offers unique bed and breakfast accommodation in a fabulous heritage setting.

Perfect for relaxing visits to this buzzing town, The Artist House is half a block from the famous Duval Street and the Old Town, with its myriad restaurants, cafés, art galleries and attractions. One of the few truly original Victorian era properties in the town, The Artist House features spacious rooms with twelve-foot high ceilings, richly detailed original design wall coverings, polished noble timber flooring and splendid, intricate original woodwork. Guests can also enjoy the large, shaded garden and cooling dips in the outdoor swimming pool.

The Artist House has just seven individually decorated historic rooms, including four suites, all elegantly appointed and spacious. The rooms are air-conditioned, come with king or queen-size beds and feature a range of amenities, including flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi. A rich continental breakfast is served every morning in the garden or on the porch, an guests can enjoy a complimentary happy hour in the evenings.

The Sun Room:
Once the children's nursery, and now a cosy retreat complete with a queen-size bed, mini-fridge, private bath, and a 32" flat-screen TV. Full of light and overlooking our garden and the rooftops of Old Town. This charming room is accessed from the garden by its own private stairs.
The Garden Room:
Once the library of the home, this large room is still full of charm and elegance. There is a queen-size bed and a matching dresser on a polished wood floor and a 32" flat-screen TV. The en-suite bathroom gives access to a cosy private balcony with table and chairs, overlooking the garden.
The Morning Room:
Greet the day in this large bright room, with a queen-size bed and a matching dresser. A built in armoire, 32" flat-screen TV and polished wood floor all add to the nostalgia of the room. The en-suite bathroom gives access to a small private deck overlooking the garden.
The Parlor Suite:
Victorian elegance and charm abound in this room. The original "parlour" to the house, this is another wonderful large room. It features a king-size four-poster bed with full canopy. It comes with polished wood floors, a sofa bed for extra guests, 32" flat-screen TV and a en-suite bathroom.
The Eugene Studio Suite:
The former painters studio (Gene Otto; Artist House is named in his honour), this huge, elegant room has a romantic carved wood four-poster king-size bed, a wood floor, a sofa bed for extra guests, a 32" flat-screen TV and an en-suite bathroom.
The Anne Suite:
Once the master bedroom, this spacious suite features a four poster king-size bed, wood floors, a sofa bed for extra guests, a 32" flat-screen TV and an en-suite with a shower.
The Turret Suite:
Entering the Turret is like stepping back in time. A queen-sized sleigh bed, sitting area which includes a 32" flat-screen TV, a sofa bed for extra guests, a wood floor and two bathrooms (One full bathroom, the other bath contains a shower and sink only). French doors open to a second floor porch with wicker seating. A fairytale staircase ascends to the top of the turret which is a unique feature and includes another queen-size bed, a second 32" flat-screen TV, all surrounded by the seven tall windows of the twelve-foot high, octagon-shaped space.
