Located in the southeast of France, Montpellier is bewitching with its medieval legacy of cobbled streets, and splendid boulevards and stately buildings that define it as an elegant city. As a cultured and studious city, the first Medical School in Europe was founded in Montpellier in the 12th century, and it is still active. It is here where Ramon Llull and Nostradamus studied. The walks through its parks are wonderful: the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle, and the Botanical Garden, the oldest in France, is from the 16th century.
