A colonial style home represents the main building of the lodge which hosts the hotel’s refined restaurant offering a five-course menu with only the freshest of ingredients and recipes from only creative minds. The restaurant offers its exquisite dining every evening in the dining area or surrounded by the gardens. In addition, Mangapapa Lodge features an extensive spa complete with a jacuzzi and sauna, and a swimming pool for those warmer months.

Mangapapa Lodge features twelve stunningly and thoughtfully curated rooms and suites filled with natural light. They are scattered throughout the property and feature many compositions such as rooms in the main homestead from the 1800’s, cottage suites, and Lady Wattie’s Suites.

This gorgeous property is located in Hawke’s Bay and is extremely close to many of the region’s best wineries to which the hotel can arrange a shuttle. Mangapapa Lodge is also located near Havelock North where many boutique shops and cafes are found.

Type of rooms: Mangapapa Lodge

Mangapapa Lodge consists of twelve lovely rooms and suites of different design and layout. All rooms and suites feature wi-fi, smart TV, Netflix, air conditioning, laptop safe, toiletries, ironing facilities, hairdryer, and complimentary tea and coffee.

Homestead Suites: Located in the Homestead building, these suites feature a separate living room with a sofa and access to a balcony with views of the garden.
Deluxe Rooms: The deluxe rooms of the Homestead building are spacious with an extra-large king bed and a lovely balcony overlooking the garden.
Mangapapa Suite: The best suite of them all is the Mangapapa suite locate din the Homestead building. The separate bedroom has to queen beds and a TV plus an ensuite bathroom with a spa bath. The suite has a spacious living room with a sofa and connects to a private terrace overlooking the tennis court.
Cottage Suite: The cottage suite is located in a separate area of the property for extra privacy. It consists of a living area with a sofa bed and a TV and access to the balcony overlooking the garden. The bathroom also offers a freestanding tub and walk-in shower.
Lady Wattie’s Junior Suites: Located in a separate area, the junior suites offer a spacious room with a double or twin beds, and ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower, and a private deck with gardens.
Lady Wattie’s Suites: Also located near the junior suites, these main suites feature a large living area wish sofas, a bedroom with an ensuite bath and shower, and a private deck with gardens.
