Ideally situated for exploring the beautiful town of Hornbach and the surrounding Südwestpfalz region, Kloster Hornbach offers bicycles for hire, and is also the perfect starting-off point for keen hikers. There are a number of excellent golf courses in the region, and the frontier with France is just over a kilometre away. The town of Hornbach itself grew from the monastery, and has a number of fascinating historic landmarks, including the Rathaus, the church and the town walls. After a busy day's sightseeing, Kloster Hornbach invites guests to wind down and recharge in the "Badelust" wellness area, which boasts a relaxation pool with massage jets, a Finnish sauna and a steam bath. A range of massages and treatments are also available on request.

Guests at Kloster Hornbach are also spoilt for choice when it comes to fine dining. The gourmet Restaurant Refugium is the proud hold of 15 Gault-Millau points and two bonnets, while the Restaurant Klosterschänke offers Palatinate specialities in a more informal tavern atmosphere. The Säulenzimmer Restaurant is the perfect venue for private celebrations and group dinners in the cosy atmosphere of the former refectory of the monastery.

''Monastery'' Double Room:
The comfortable ''Monastery'' rooms vary in size from 20 to 25 sq m. Guests can choose between the Mediterranean, Shaker, Ethnic and Asian room styles. Four rooms in a country house style are located in a separate building of the monastery, the Carriage House.
''Prelate'' Double Room:
The Prelate Double Rooms offer even more space, and are also available in a choice of Mediterranean, Shaker, Asian and Ethnic styles. The Prelate ''Philosophenstube'' room is in the very quiet ''Remise'', a special retreat for relaxation and tranquillity. Room sizes range between 25 and 33 sq m.
''Lösch'' Double Room:
These Superior category rooms are in the country house, only 100 metres from the monastery. The ''Lösch'' double rooms are sized between 31 and 33 sq m, and are furnished to the highest standards.
''Lösch'' Junior Suite:
The Junior suites in this higher category are located just 100 metres from the monastery. The ''Lösch'' junior suites range in size from 35 to 43 square metres and are equipped with top quality furnishings and a first-class design concept. The en-suite bathrooms come with bathrobes, slippers and Etro toiletries.
Suite:
There is a choice of three individually decorated Monastery suites. The ''Auf Ewig'' suite (45 sq m), the ''HimmelBlau'' suite (45 sq m) and the "Duplex" suite (47 sq m.). The ''HimmelBlau'' suite is located in the former holy tower of the monastery and is divided into two floors (living room and bathroom downstairs - sleeping area above). The window in the ceiling above the bed is especially appreciated by many guests. The "Duplex" suite, with its puristic, modern style invites guests to unwind and relax. The living and working area is below, the bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. Surprise gifts can be arranged on request: "Monastery Stones" (chocolates), flowers or a bottle of champagne, sparkling wine or Riesling.

All rooms and suites are equipped with handmade Schramm beds, luxurious down duvets, Bose Wave music systems, a selection of CD's, a flat screen TV and a Nespresso coffee machine. The en-suite bathrooms come with bathrobes, slippers and Aveda toiletries.
