Each room is themed along maritime lines, with titles like The Eye of the Fisherman, The Lighthouse or the Mainsail, and feature delightful period details, including wood panelling, noble timber flooring and elegant vintage and antique furniture. Rooms are spacious and airy, filled with the unique light of this beautiful island, and come with all modern amenities.

Le Corps de Garde's unique situation means that it is perfect for exploring the charming town of Saint-Martin de Ré and the rest of Ile de Ré. The house is close to the renowned star-shaped fortress and the charming old town, and there are also a number of fabulous beaches within easy reach. Ile de Ré boasts no less than 110 kilometres of easy cycle tracks, and bicycle hire can be arranged by the house before guests' arrival. A paradise for water-sports enthusiasts, visitors can practise sailing, surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing, kayaking and snorkelling, among many other options.
