Standing in the heart of this beautiful wine producing region, the hotel is just eight kilometres from Haro, one of the wine capitals of La Rioja. Steeped in history, the hotel is near the route of the Santiago Trail, and there are a number of spectacular landmarks in the region, including the monastery of Santo Domingo de la Calzada and the monasteries of Yuso and Suso, in San Millán de la Cogolla. Guests can follow the Rioja wine route or visit spectacular wineries, while outdoor activities include cycling on the greenway between Haro and Ezcaray, and golf.

Palacio de Casafuerte is also home to fine gourmet restaurant, serving delicious menus based on regional cuisine and fresh, locally grown produce. The restaurant is set in a huge dining hall, with a timber-beamed ceiling, and guests can also enjoy the comfortable lounge, a bar, and a delightful patio garden, where drinks and snacks can be enjoyed in fine weather.

The renovation has maintained all the original architectural elements, such as the stone walls and arches, terra-cotta floors and the 19th century ceramic tiling from Talavera de la Reina. Zaballa:
Located on the first floor of the building, this is a double room with capacity for 2 to 4 guests. Decorated with a combination of modern furniture and Luis XV pieces, it has an outstanding wrought-iron art-nouveau headboard, contrasting with the modern wallpaper. Room size 26 sq m.
Galzarra:
This Superior Double room is located on the first floor of the building, and has capacity for 2 to 5 persons. The decoration combines modern furnishings with Luis XV pieces, along with ancient stone with gold discs and centennial timbers.
