Casa el Morro, an 18th-century, family-owned and run estate is situated far from Lanzarote’s hustle and bustle, and offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a relaxed, homely atmosphere. Lovingly restored by its present owners, Casa El Morro is perfect for relaxing stays on this spectacular island. Close to the craters of the Los Volcanes Natural Park, it offers fabulous views of the unique volcanic landscape.

Casa El Morro has just seven unique cottages and a yurt, all individually decorated and furnished with four-poster beds and antiques from Indonesia and other exotic spots around the world. Set in the estate’s lush tropical gardens, the salt water swimming pool is the perfect spot to wind down after a busy day’s sightseeing. Sound healing sessions, Ayurvedic massages and yoga lessons are also available on site.

With an enviable location, close to the Timanfaya National Park, Casa El Morro is within walking distance of the small village of Uga, while other attractions on the island are an easy drive away.

The Yurt: This unusual, Mongalian-style Yurt hut is a round, tent-like structure built on wooden stilts. It offers views of the volcanoes and gardens, and has been constructed using natural resources. It sleeps up to 6 guests and includes two double beds and a sofa bed. It has striking décor, a luxury exterior bathroom, and an outdoor living area with teak furnishings and a barbecue. Please note that the bathroom and kitchen are located in a different building. Cottage 101: Isidora: This cottage has a twin bedroom, and a terrace. Overlooked by an ancient eucalyptus tree, the house has an intimate and romantic atmosphere, ideal for any honeymooning couple or a family of up to four members. 1 person or child on mezzanine floor single bed or sofa bed (with extra charge).Cots available free. Cottage 106: Leo: Casa Leo is isolated from the grounds of the rest of the finca. It has a large wooden terrace with an antique bed and Javanese decorative details that give a distinct colonial feel to it. It has a lounge kitchen area and separate bedroom with en suite bathroom. The terrace has a relax space and a dining space. It is ideal for couples seeking tranquillity and privacy. Sleeps 2 people in the main bedroom (double bed). Cots available at no extra charge. Cottage 201: La Troja: Situated inside the Canarian patio, this suite is accessed using a beautiful wooden staircase. Dating from the 18th century, this individually decorated cottage has a living room with a sofa bed, satellite TV, CD and DVD player. There is a private marble bathroom and a tiled kitchen with a fridge and coffee maker. Sleeps 2 people in the main bedroom in a queen size bed. 1 person or child on a sofa bed (extra charge). Cottage 102: El Alpende: This house leads on to a large Canarian patio. The cosy bedroom has two single beds. The old spaces in the wall where the grains were once stored have been preserved.The bathroom has a marble sink and vintage taps. The kitchen is well equipped and the large lounge has a sofa bed. Sleeps 2 in master bedroom. 1 person or child on sofa bed. Cots available at no extra charge. Cottage size 60 sq m.
Cottage 104: Uga: This bright cottage features a large terrace with great views of the surrounding area. It has a double sofa bed, and a fully equipped kitchen. Sleeps 2 people in main bedroom. 1 person or child on sofa bed (extra charge). Cots available for no charge. Cottage size 60 sq m.
Cottage 105: El Aljibe: This cottage, a favourite hideaway for couples, is accessed via a beautiful wooden staircase, and includes large windows and a furnished terrace, which opens onto a garden. There is a twin bedroom. Sleeps 2 people in main bedroom (king size bed). 1 person or child on sofa bed (extra charge).Cots available at no extra charge. Cottage size 70 sq m.
Cottage 103: Raquel: Larger families or those requiring more space can book the 2-storey Raquel (4-5), with its wood-burning stove and jaw-dropping views of volcanoes. With two bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges and terraces, this is the largest suite. Featuring 2 large terraces and a seating area, this cottage has a living room with a sofa bed, satellite TV, and a CD and DVD player. The tiled kitchen opens onto a patio and guests can enjoy lovely views from the cottage's large windows. Sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms (queen size bed and double bed).
