Built around the Wineport Restaurant, originally founded in 1993, the Lodge is ideally placed for relaxing visits to this beautiful corner of Leinster. The hotel's lakeside setting means that guests can practice a number of water-sports practically from the doorstep, including boat trips on the lake, water-skiing, cruises on the river Shannon, or even swimming from the hotel's private jetty. Other activities available close by include hiking, cycling and golf. The Lodge also offers luxurious pampering, with a range of massages and treatments and relaxing outdoor hot tubs with fabulous views across the lake.

Enjoying an excellent reputation for fine cuisine, the Lodge's restaurant, home to TV3's show 'The Restaurant', serves delicious menus based on the finest fresh, locally sourced produce, including organically grown fresh vegetables, farm produced cheeses, and fish from the lakes and rivers.
