As a part of the Whitsunday Islands group, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Long Island is within easy reach of the Great Barrier Reef, and is ideal for a huge range of island activities and tours. These include water sports - snorkelling, kayaking, surfing and fishing - Great Barrier Reef tours and seaplane tours of the islands.

Accommodation at Palm Bay Resort consists of just twenty-three individual villas, suites and bungalows. All are comfortably furnished and feature large balconies or terraces with spectacular views of the bay and the neighbouring islands. All units are air-conditioned, and come with a refrigerator, while larger villas also have a fully equipped kitchenette. Grocery supplies can be requested before arrival.

Ocean View Suites:
Elevated and set slightly back from the ocean these beautiful rooms offer privacy and incredible ocean views. Hibiscus Suites are the perfect option for couples seeking tranquility and seclusion, and have a private sun deck, an additional balcony and a comfortable lounge area for quiet relaxation. The suites come with a fully equipped kitchenette including bar fridge, microwave oven, and tea and coffee making facilities. One queen-size bed.

One-Bedroom Beachfront Bungalow:
The one-bedroom bungalows offer luxurious self-contained accommodation for up to four guests (two adults and two children). Positioned on the beachfront, these spacious bungalows have a king-sized bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and a spacious en-suite bathroom that can be closed off with bi-fold doors offering ultimate privacy or a parents retreat. One king-size bed and one sofa-bed. Bungalow size 60sq m.
Two-Bedroom Beachfront Bungalow:
These spacious bungalows offer luxurious self-contained accommodation for up to five guests people (four adults or two adults and three children). With beach frontage and views across Palm Bay and the Lagoon, the two-bedroom bungalows offer the ultimate in space and tranquility. One king-size bed, two single beds and sofa-bed. Bungalow size 62 sq m.
Bungalows also include a fully equipped kitchenette containing a bar fridge, microwave oven, stainless steel sink, toaster, kettle, coffee plunger, complimentary tea and coffee plus a good supply of crockery and cutlery. Linen and towels are provided and housekeeping is available upon request.
Platinum House:
Perched at the top of a hill overlooking the crystal blue waters of the Coral Sea, this fabulous house boasts a king-size master bedroom with sunroom, large wall mounted flat screen TV, en-suite bathroom and bar fridge plus a second queen-sized bedroom with an additional sun room for private relaxation. The Platinum House has a fully equipped modern kitchen, dining and lounge area with large flat screen TV, DVD player and stereo plus a separate laundry and guest bathroom.
Platinum House offers fabulous views from its large wooden deck, and is also equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fan, ironing board and steam iron, space heater and a small safe. Linen and towels are provided and Housekeeping is available upon request.
