Hotel Anno 1216 has just 11 luxuriously appointed and spacious rooms, all featuring unique heritage elements combined with fine antique and modern furnishings. Rooms are also equipped with modern flat-screen television sets and offer free WLAN and LAN Internet access. Guests at the hotel have a choice of two styles of organic breakfasts; a light continental style breakfast or a large breakfast with a selection of egg dishes, exquisite cheeses, cold cuts, salmon, yoghurt, muesli and juices.

Type of rooms: Hotel Anno 1216

Single Rooms:
Single room No.1 is of lavish proportions and is on the ground floor. Formerly used as a "Dornse" (a medieval term for a heated room), it has been transformed into an elegant and comfortable single room with modern facilities. This room has a particularly high ceiling.
Single room No. 5 is a popular choice and is located on the first floor. Monument preservation rules dictated that the height of the original ceiling be maintained during restoration, making it 30 cms lower than those in the other rooms. This room is therefore not recommended for taller guests.
Double Rooms:
Each of the exceptional double rooms stands out for its unique historical features. Some of the rooms have a view of the river, others face the historical Alfstraße or the inner courtyard, which is typical of the city of Lübeck. The comfortable box spring beds with eiderdowns and elegant, pure cotton-satin bedding guarantee a restful night's sleep. Anti allergy bedding can be provided on request. One large double bed. Room size approximately 23 sq m.
The Rococo Suite (No.2):
This splendid chamber with its magnificent Rococo-style wall design, finished in glossy Venetian stucco lustro, has a balcony facing the port. A 19th century tiled stove accentuates the glamorous atmosphere of the room. One large double bed. Suite size approximately 48 sq m.
The Suite in the lower side wing (No.3):
The magnificent combination of stucco and fresco in this palatial suite is unique in Lübeck. A cast of this impressive stucco can be seen in the Saint Annen Museum. The fresco was restored in 2011 and shows the sun god Helios with his sister Aurora, goddess of dawn and Selene, the moon goddess. The lavish en-suite luxury bathroom with its roll-top bath and walk-in shower also boasts a stucco ceiling. One large double bed. Suite size approximately 60 sq m.
The Suite in the upper side wing (No.4):
This exclusive suite also features an imposing Baroque stucco ceiling. In addition there are 24 wall panel paintings showing mythological scenes from Ovid's Metamorphoses. In the adjoining room guests will find what remains of a medieval painting and parts of the original oak parquet floor with marquetry inlays from the 16th century. One large double bed.
