Standing in a carefully restored tannery, dating from 1832, this charming boutique property now offers exclusive bed and breakfast accommodation in a quiet, central location.

This region of Apulia offers visitors everything from archaeological sites to historic towns and stunning rugged coastlines. Nearby landmarks and attractions include the historic city of Lecce, a Baroque jewel often called "the Florence of the South", and the spectacular peninsular town of Gallipoli, where the old town is connected to the mainland by a 17th century bridge.

Corte dei Francesi is housed in a typical courtyard house of the region, where independent families working in the same tannery lived in separate dwellings around a communal courtyard. This arrangement has been skilfully incorporated into the design of the property, and all rooms have independent entrances from the courtyard.

Adjacent to the hotel, the ancient tannery also houses a museum and exhibition centre, with temporary exhibitions by local artists and a permanent display on the Lamarque tannery.
