The Martinborough Hotel is a boutique hotel conceived from the original hotel of 1882, and its façade is now an emblem of this romantic town. The hotel has a cozy library with a fireplace for the cooler nights and a rose garden with outdoor furniture to enjoy the sunny days. The hotel is home to Union Square Bistro & Bar in which guest and locals unite to savour the flavours of the region’s harvest.The Martinborough Hotel has rooms and suites divided over the property in three categories; heritage, garden, and Petit, each portraying the hotel’s unique history, environment, and attention to detail. They are spacious and welcoming with their natural light and cozy furniture. Martinborough is the perfect place to explore the region’s fine wines, gastronomy, and nature. Exploring the Patuna Chasm, fishing on Lake Ferry and strolling through the grape vines of Ata Rangi are just some of the activities to enjoy. Type of rooms: The Martinborough HotelThe Martinborough Hotel consists of twenty rooms in total, spread across the grounds of the property. The original 1882 building hosts the heritage rooms, the garden suites are scattered among the courtyard and greenery, and the petit rooms are adjacent to the main hotel. Each one has plush armchairs, quality linen, toiletries, complimentary water, coffee and tea facilities, local juice, smart TV, minibar, hairdryer, and ironing facilities.Heritage Suites: The heritage suites feature the charm of the old world with wooden floors, Persian rugs, Chinese porcelain, and deep bathtubs. French doors will open up to views of the square and village from a private balcony while the bedroom is complete with a super king bed. Heritage Rooms: Slightly smaller than the suites, the heritage rooms feature a queen bed and all the other luxuries. They also offer a small balcony with views of the village and courtyard. Superior Garden Suites: Amid the gardens and courtyard and up the staircase are the superior garden suites. They are 40 sqm with a king bed, living area with a desk and sofa, clawfoot tub and shower, and a large balcony with lounge chairs. Garden Suites: The garden suites are on the ground floor and open up to their own private garden filled with roses and a walnut tree. They feature a super king bed which can be divided into two twins and some are able to interconnect with each other. Petit Rooms: These rooms are located in a separate building and have the preserved the essence of the architecture through the original high ceilings, architraves, and rimu floors.
