Other landmarks in the region include the majestic and mysterious Cathar castles, while outdoor activities available in the area include downhill biking in the Montagne Noire, golf, kayaking and horse riding, among many other options. Mazamet itself boasts some splendid parks and gardens, as well as a number of excellent markets.

La Villa de Mazamet's gastronomic restaurant offers delicious table d'hôtes dinners every evening except for Wednesdays, with seasonal menus using the finest produce from local markets and the villa's garden. Regional cuisine is combined with international touches, and meals can be enjoyed in the elegant dining room, with its Louis XIV style fireplace, or out of doors on the terrace in fine weather. Breakfast consists of a range of French favourites, along with fresh fruit, cheese, ham, preserves and freshly prepared beverages. On request, guests can also enjoy a poolside platter of charcuterie, cheese, bread and olives at lunchtimes.

Located on the first floor, the Superior (Twin/Double) rooms provide beds which may be configured as either one super-king sized bed or as a twin. Superior Balcony:
Located on the first floor, at the front of the property, our Superior Balcony bedrooms provide king-size beds, direct views over the Montagne Noire and small balconies with chairs and coffee tables. En-suite bathroom with deep antique bath with drench shower over, bathrobe and slippers. Drinks chiller with soft drinks, wine and beer. Total room size 26 sq m.
Deluxe:
Located on the second floor, at the front of the property, the Deluxe bedroom offers a king-size bed and the most commanding views over the Montagne Noire. A large bathroom suite provides that added space and luxury with a deep roll top bath and a separate drench shower, bathrobe and slippers. Drinks chiller with soft drinks, wine and beer. Total room size 32 sq m.
Deluxe Suite:
Located on the second floor, the new Deluxe Suite provides the ultimate in comfort and space with fabulous views over the Montagne Noire.
The bedroom is equipped a king-size bed, antique writing bureau, coffee table and two soft chairs plus an original 1930's antique armoire. The bathroom is furnished with a roll-top bath, separate shower and twin sinks, an extensive range of Gilchrist & Soames, robes and slippers. The lounge provides a comfortable sofa, coffee table, a second flat-screen TV and a DVD player. There is also a refreshment unit with a Nespresso machine. Total room size 52 sq m.
