Standing in a lovingly restored 19th century manor house and farm, this charming boutique guest house offers exclusive accommodation in a tranquil country setting.Le Manoir stands in ten acres of rolling parkland with wonderful views, and is a perfect spot for relaxing holidays in this beautiful region. Ideally located for visiting the Dordogne valley and the historic sites of the Lot region, many of this idyllic area's most important landmarks and attractions are just a short drive from the house. These include the châteaux of Castelnaud and Beynac, spectacular towns and villages like Rocamadour and Carennac, and fascinating caves at Lacave and Padirac, to name but a few. Le Manoir offers a choice of four individually designed bedrooms and two luxurious suites, all thoughtfully decorated with sumptuous French fabrics. The rooms vary in size and character, but they all offer the comforts of home, with fresh garden flowers, crisp white bed linen, fluffy bathrobes and exclusive toiletries. There is also a self-contained barn renovation, the Loft. Fine food is of great importance at Le Manoir, and great care goes into sourcing fresh seasonal produce. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are offered, and can be served in the courtyard in fine weather, or in the magnificent dining room. Meals are served in both table d'hôte and restaurant style. Exit at 'Sortie 53', towards D820 Cressensac. Continue straight on through Cressensac passing Hotel 'la Truffiére' on your left. After 5kms the road becomes a dual carriageway - turn left at the signpost D103 'Cuzance, Eglise de Rignac'. Follow the road over the autoroute and up a hill - it becomes a small country lane. As you approach Rignac, you'll pass a small, walled cemetry on your left with the church situated straight ahead. Before reaching the church, and just after a stone cross on the right, there is a turning to the right signposted the 'Manoir de Malagorse'. Le Manoir is 1km from this point. On the A20 from Cahors/Toulouse, exit the A20 at Sortie 55, direction Souillac. At the roundabout, take the exit under the viaduct, direction D803 to Martel and Gramat. The road winds for 3-4 kms after which you will see the 'La Saulou Fleuri' garden centre. At the sign for Asperges/Chrysanthemums and 'La Saulou Fleuri', turn left - there is a sign for Malagorse. If you arrive in Le Pigeon you have gone too far. Follow this road, leaving the garden centre on your right, and you come to Balzagues - a village with a small collection of houses. Continue through Balzagues, bearing left at the fork. You will pass through a small farm, then pass walnut trees on the left & ducks on the right! Continue for 1km & the Manoir de Malagorse is on the left. From Souillac, go through Souillac heading in the direction of the autoroute (A20). At the first roundabout takeD820/E9 towards Cressensac. The road climbs up a hill then becomes a dual carriageway. Once on the dual carriageway, take the first right, signposted D103 Eglise de Rignac. Follow the road over the autoroute and up a hill when it becomes a small country lane. As you approach Rignac, you pass a small walled cemetry on your left and the church is straight ahead. Before reaching the church, and just after a stone cross on the right, there is a turning to the right signposted 'Manoir de Malagorse'. Take this road - we are 1km away!
