Set in a labour of love – painstakingly restored over seven years – Mas de Garrigue is a luxury guest house located in a spectacular 15th century fortified farmhouse. The sympathetic restoration has retained original features such as the vast stone fireplaces and ancient stone sinks, arrow-slits, the original massive timber beams and stone floors. Frequently rated the best bed and breakfast in the Lot and Midi-Pyrenees regions, this magnificent property offers luxurious chambre d’hôte accommodation in idyllic surroundings.

With just six individually decorated rooms, guests can expect luxurious stays in a beautiful setting, surrounded by lush gardens and with fabulous views on all sides. Halfway between the historic towns of Cahors and Figeac on the banks of the river Lot, Mas de Garrigue is surrounded by “Beaux Villages” such as Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (voted the most beautiful village in France) Cajarc, Saint-Sulpice, Marcilhac-sur-Célé or Espagnac-Sainte-Eulalie. The Pre-historic caves of Pech Merle and the Château de Cénevières are close by upstream. Ideal for outdoor pursuits, popular activities in the area include hiking and walking, cycling, or canoeing and kayaking. Wine lovers are also spoilt for choice with the vineyards of Cahors or Gaillac.

Owners Sarah and Steve serve a delicious breakfast every morning, while on specific evenings, sumptuous table d’hôte dinners can also be requested, all based on the finest locally sourced and home-grown produce.

Beauregard: On the third floor of the house, this room boasts beautiful views and has a romantic bathroom in the top of the tower. 2 guests. 1 super king-size bed.
Laramiere: This room is on the second floor of the house, with amazing views of the Lot valley. It is bright and airy. It has a bath and shower in its gorgeous bathroom. 2 guests. 1 super king-size bed.
Marcillhac: In the barn beside the pool facing the house, this room is bright, airy and romantic. It has independent access. 2 guests. 1 super king-size bed.
Montbrun: This twin room is on the third level of the house, and has a shower room beside it. It is situated beside Beauregard and as such is suitable for families (children over the age of 10 years old only). 2 guests. 2 single beds.
Sailliac: In the barn beside the pool, this room is cool and airy with independent access. 2 guests. 1 super king-size bed.
St Sulpice: On the garden level, this room because of its position and thick walls remains the coolest in the house. It has independent access directly onto the pool area. 2 guests. 1 super king-size bed.
