Perched at the top of a hill overlooking the beautiful resort of Mittersill, Schloss Mittersill is set in a carefully restored and maintained historic castle, originally built in the 12th century. After a long and eventful history, the castle was sold to the town of Mittersill, and in 2010 opened as a luxury boutique hotel, offering exclusive accommodation, fine cuisine and bespoke services in a spectacular heritage setting.

Schloss Mittersill is perfect for relaxing, intimate stays in this beautiful mountain region, to the south of Salzburg and closed to the frontier of the Tyrol. Schloss Mittersill offers 53 delightful rooms and suites, all featuring antique, vintage and modern furniture, massive timber beams, period decoration and plush fabrics and furnishings. The hotel is within easy reach of a number of ski-resorts, including the Thurn Pass, part of the immense Kitzbühel Alps Ski Area, and in summer, the Hohe Tauern national park region offers fabulous hiking and mountain-biking trails, mountaineering and golf, among many other options.

The hotel's restaurant serves traditional Austrian cuisine and regional specialities, and there is also a well-stocked wine cellar. This suite was named after Queen Juliana of Holland who spent her 6-week honeymoon with Prince Bernhard here in 1937. The suite features historic furnishings and a ceiling from the 15th century. Suitable for 2-4 persons.
