Standing in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Stow House is a boutique bed and breakfast, situated in a lovingly restored mansion, originally built in 1876 for the Reverend Stow, the Dean of Wensleydale. With just seven uniquely decorated rooms, Stow House is a wonderful spot for relaxing stays in an idyllic rural setting.

Offering fabulous views of the rolling Yorkshire Dales landscape, Stow House is just footsteps from the beautiful Aysgarth Falls, and is the ideal spot for hikers and cyclists, with some fabulous walks starting practically from the doorstep of the house. Other landmarks close by include the stone village of Askrigg, and Bolton Castle. The house boasts a croquet lawn in its well cared-for gardens, and popular outdoor activities available nearby include fishing, horse riding, and bird watching.

Every morning, a delicious breakfast is served in Stow House's light-filled dining room. Guests can expect a choice of home baked breads, fresh dairy products, and the finest, locally sourced produce, including home-made sausages and dry-cured bacon from a local craft butcher. Fully licensed, Stow House serves an excellent selection of wines and beers, along with some spectacular cocktails, and guests can relax with their favourite drink in the cosy book-filled snug or the elegant sitting room, both with unique, quirky décor and wood-burning fireplaces.

Room One - Love is Blind:
This is a ground floor room with stunning views out across the Dale and a small, but perfectly formed, en-suite shower room. Room size 19 sq m.
Room Three - Kes:
This stunning room on the first floor has a four poster bed and a large bay window with views out across Wensleydale to Penhill. On the wall is a print by the brilliant photographer Tony Briggs which was inspired by the film Kes. There is an en-suite shower room with underfloor heating.

Room Four - Love Birds:
A beautiful room on the first floor with gorgeous views out over to Bolton Castle and Penhill. The bathroom has a cast iron bath, two basins and large walk-in shower. A print by the artist Copyright hangs on the wall.

Room Six - Badger:
On the third floor, this room has a wonderful French double bed, soaring ceilings with exposed beams and wonderful views out over to Penhill and down Bishopdale. There is a cast-iron bath in the room and an en-suite shower room. On the wall is a fantastic papier-mache sculpture by the artist David Farrer of a badger, in a gas mask. Room size 26 sq m
Room Two - Like Wow Man:
A large room on the first floor with great views out over Penhill. There is a simply enormous bathroom with two basins, a beautiful cast iron bath and luxurious walk-in shower. On the wall are two prints by the British artist Dan Baldwin. Room size 27 sq m.
Room Seven - Cowboy Balance:
This enormous room on the third floor has truly amazing views. There is a cast-iron bath in the room and an en-suite shower next door with underfloor heating. A day bed can easily be made up for an extra person. On the walls are three prints by the artist Tom French. Room size 37 sq m.
Room Five - Shotgun Clare:
On the third floor, this tranquil room has amazing views out of two Velux windows over the Dales. There is a cast-iron bath in the bedroom and an en-suite shower room with underfloor heating. Above the bed is is a print by Ceal Warnants. Room size 38 sq m.
