The coast cut by hundreds of fjords defines the profile of this Scandinavian country in northern Europe. Norway is a universe where cosmopolitan cities with vital cultural activity coexist very close to nature in its purest state, with the Arctic polar circle forming part of its confines.
Contemporary architecture has transformed the sea front of Oslo, the capital of Norway, with the emblematic Opera House. In addition, the reputation of its chefs makes it a mecca for gourmets and foodies. Another of its attractive assets is the vibrant theatrical and artistic scene. Bergen, second city of Norway, is a cozy city surrounded by seven mountains.
|
The intricate topography of the region of Møre og Romsdal makes for optimal maritime access. Sogn og Fjordane is notable for the concentration of fjords and also its Viking past. By ship is the natural way to explore the Norwegian coast, dotted with islets, archipelagos and picturesque villages. Witness the enchanting northern lights and the midnight sun. The North Cape is great for those who wish to set foot on the extreme of the European continent.
Ancient Norwegian painted wood architecture is another one of the many treasures and a cultural tradition. Carefully restored structures house boutique hotels with lots of charm set in idyllic locations next to the water. |
