Recently having undergone a thorough renovation by the Port Douglas‐based architectural company Hunt Design, and fitted out under the direction of Sophie Pedersen, Hunt's Interior Designer, Orpheus Island Resort provides luxurious accommodation, spectacular cuisine and fabulous activities in an idyllic island setting.

With just twenty-three individually decorated rooms, suites and villas, Orpheus Island Resort is the perfect spot for tranquil, relaxing visits to this paradisical spot. As befits this heritage site, the resort is decidedly committed to sustainability and the ongoing conservation process, and has implemented a number of unique sustainable measures to protect the environment.

Among the many fabulous experiences available on and around the island, guests can choose from diving and snorkelling, fishing, dinghy adventures, and tours of the Research Station. After a busy day of activities, guests can enjoy cooling dips in the spectacular infinity pool, or wind down with a unique massage at the Gwandalan Day Spa. The South Wing accommodation on Orpheus ensures utter privacy in a laid-back luxe setting. Just a stone's throw from the water's edge and surrounded by lush tropical gardens and boasting ocean views, the South Room accommodation is unobtrusive and homely. North Beachfront Suite:
These spacious beachfront suites offer a unique ambience and a beautiful balance between a contemporary and minimalist island aesthetic. South Suite:
Just a stone's throw from the water's edge, the newly renovated South Suites ensure utter privacy in a laid-back luxury setting. The romantic and contemporary South Suites are the perfect choice for couples and honeymooners. These stylish suites accommodate two guests and offer a secluded escape surrounded by lush tropical gardens.
Featuring and open-plan living room and high ceilings, the suites provide the perfect hideaway. The interiors are beachcomber chic and showcase soft natural surfaces and exquisite details that sit in harmony with the beaches and coral cays.
