A magnificent spot for relaxing escapes in the lap of luxury, Blanket Bay is ideally placed to enjoy many of the region's fabulous activities, from fly fishing to heli-skiing, hiking to horse riding, or jet boating to kayaking, among many fascinating options. Guests can also enjoy art trails and vineyards, a number of excellent golf courses, and of course the spectacular locations for the Lord of the Rings and many other famous films. On site, the lodge boasts an 18 x 6 metre heated outdoor lap pool, along with a fully featured Spa and Wellness area, with a therapy suite, steam rooms, a gym and a Jacuzzi, all with magnificent lake and mountain views.

Dining at Blanket Bay can be enjoyed in the evening Dining Room with its beamed ceiling and stone fireplace, in the Wine Cave - a perfect venue for private dining for up to six people - or on the Terrace, by a roaring fire and with the breathtaking mountain and lake vistas on all sides. As befits a lodge located in the heart of one of New Zealand's finest wine regions, Blanket Bay has an excellent wine cellar, stocked with award winning labels from Central Otago, along with some of the top vintages from Martinborough and Marlborough.

Lodge Rooms:
The five intimate lakeside Lodge Rooms feature their own balcony or terrace and amazing lake and mountain views, polished wooden floors and fine fabrics. They also come with a king-size bed, an armoire, and an en-suite bathroom with granite-topped double vanities, separate shower and bath. Fully air-conditioned, they are also equipped with a flat-screen TV, DVD, Bose iPod docking station, tea and coffee making facilities and a mini-bar. Room size 35 sq m.
Lodge Suites:
The three magnificent 65 sq m Lodge Suites offer bedroom and sitting areas which have their own stone fireplace, a spacious bathroom with a steam shower and separate tub. Outside, each suite has a 37 sq m private terrace, with heart-stopping views of the lake and mountains.
Chalet Suites:
The Chalet Suites reflect New Zealand colonial architecture and complement the Main Lodge through the use of schist stone and timber beams. Each Chalet comprises two 65 sq m suites with open stone fireplaces and a central living room. The Chalet Suites may be combined with the living room to create The Richardson Staterooms.

All rooms and suites feature: air-conditioning, complimentary high speed internet connection, TVs and DVDs. All nightly are for two guests with carte blanche use of sports equipment and facilities, as well as breakfast, pre-dinner cocktails and dinner. The self-service bar in the games room is open at any time at no extra charge.
