The ancient town of Alba, with its charming historic centre and seemingly countless towers, is less than fifteen kilometres away, and there are many more beautiful hilltop villages dotted around the region. A haven for sports enthusiasts, the vineyards, woods and hills around the hotel are criss-crossed with trails, perfect for hikers and mountain bikers, while road cyclists will find excellent routes in the area too. Other activities available include golf and horse riding.

Relais Villa d'Amelia is home to a fine gourmet restaurant, awarded a Michelin star in 2010. Here the chef creates delicious menus based on traditional Piedmontese cuisine with modern touches, and the accent on the finest local produce. A second dining option is the informal bistrot restaurant, the "Easy", serving lighter meals both indoors and in the courtyard. Guests can also take advantage of the spectacular outdoor pool, which is heated in cooler months, and the Spa and wellness centre, featuring a fitness centre, whirlpool, a Turkish bath and a sauna.
