Located in the heart of northern Poland's historic Masuria region, Palac i Folwark Galiny is a beautiful historic estate, originally built in 1589. One of the few examples of Renaissance architecture to have been preserved in this area of old Prussia, this spectacular property recently underwent an extensive restoration, and now offers luxurious boutique-style accommodation, fine cuisine and a fabulous range of facilities in a stunning rural setting.
A fabulous spot for relaxing stays in this beautiful region, famous for its 2,000 lakes, Palac i Folwark Galiny offers a huge range of on-site outdoor activities for its guests, including horse-riding, carriage rides, cross-country skiing, hiking and biking, among many other options. Surrounded by 300 hectares of lush parkland, there are also tennis courts, ponds, and an extensive selection of family-friendly activities, with classes, workshops and animation programmes, along with the miniature animal farm, perfect for the younger guests. Another attraction is the traditional Russian banya - similar to a sauna - located in the garden.
Palac i Folwark Galiny's restaurant, located in the historic granary, is a charming two-storey tavern, featuring massive exposed beams and woodwork, and a huge central fireplace. The proud holder of a Gault&Millau toque, the restaurant serves dishes where the focus is placed on the freshness and quality of the ingredients, while respecting and celebrating the culinary traditions of the Warmia and Masuria regions. Vegetables, fruit and herbs come from the palace's kitchen garden, and other ingredients are sourced from small local farmers and artisan suppliers.
