Description: Design Hotel SaxHotel Sax is a hip retro design hotel located in the heart of old Prague, known as the Lesser Town. This small luxury hotel is within easy reach of Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and Saint Nicholas Church.The building of the Hotel Sax dates from the 14th century when it was owned by a blacksmith named Sax. In 1994, it was converted into this luxury hotel by the architects Pizinger and Sádovská. Hotel Sax has chosen the 50s, 60s and 70s as its design focus to brilliant effect. Original furniture from the top designers of these periods (Panton, Colani, Saarinen, Eames, etc.) is found throughout the boutique hotel and the overall feel is of stepping back to a fun and futuristic past. Type of rooms: Design Hotel SaxHotel Sax contains 22 rooms (suites, doubles and singles), all uniquely designed. Each room is decorated according to a decade, allowing guests to choose their favourite period.All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, a laptop with high speed internet, a DVD player (DVD library at reception), an LCD screen with satellite TV, telephone, minibar, hairdryer and dressing gowns in the bathroom. Additional information: Design Hotel SaxDining: Breakfast is included with the room and includes Czech breads, yoghurts, cheeses, smoked meats, hot and cold drinks, and fresh juices. There are also healthy and cooked breakfast options. A complimentary 'five o'clock tea' is also available in the afternoons. Business Facilities: A conference room is available and all rooms are equipped with internet. Wellness: The Hotel Sax offers a fitness corner, steam bath, jacuzzi and massage treatments. Boating: A day trip along the River Vltava can be arranged on the Hotel Sax's motorboat with complimentary refreshments. Parking: Parking close to the hotel is guaranteed, if reception is informed at the time of reservation. Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge. Private parking is possible at a location nearby (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 15.00 per day. Pets are allowed. No extra charges. |
