Housed in a refurbished 16th century building, AVLI Lounge Apartments is located in Rethymno on the island of Crete. Rethymno's old town has cobbled, narrow streets and boasts a 16th century Venetian fortress. This luxury boutique hotel is also an ideal base for exploring the island, and Chania and Heraklion are both within easy driving distance. With so many beaches to choose from, guests can also indulge in a variety of water sports.

AVLI Lounge Apartments retains many of its original features, such as bare stone walls and beamed ceilings, and includes a courtyard and garden, as well as a rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi. The hotel restaurant is well-respected for its Cretan cuisine and meals are served in the leafy garden. As well as massages, AVLI Lounge Apartments offers guests cooking lessons and wine tastings in its wine cellar that boasts more than 400 different wines.

The 12 suites in AVLI Lounge Apartments take advantage of the traditional elements but also feature contemporary decor and furnishings. The suites are distributed in three different buildings and come fully equipped with amenities such as Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, music systems and fridges. The suites also have mosaic tiled jacuzzis in the private bathrooms.

AVLI Lounge Apartments' 12 suites are distributed among three buildings. There are two types of suites, seven traditional style 'lounge apartments' and five 'candy suites', decorated in playful colours.

Junior Suite: Each suite is decorated in a colour theme (Green, Red, Orange and Champagne). The suites can sleep up to three guests and come with a queen size bed and additional sofa bed. The air-conditioned suites have spacious lounge areas and writing desks. They come equipped with satellite flat screen TVs, music systems, Wi-Fi, fridges and coffee makers. The marble bathrooms have jacuzzis, hairdryers and bathrobes.
Executive Suite: These two suites measure 58 sq m and come with a queen size (Blue) or king size bed (White). The private bathrooms have jacuzzis, hairdryers as well as complimentary toiletries and bathrobes. The suites come equipped with Wi-Fi and writing desks, satellite flat-screen TV and music system, as well as safes and minibars.
Penthouse Suite: This 36 sq m suite includes a balcony with a view of the Venetian fortress and a 20 sq m veranda. The suite comes with a jacuzzi in the bedroom, a lounge area and writing desk. The suite is equipped with Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV, music system, coffee maker, fridge and safe.
Candy Suite: The five 'candy' suites located in the La Strada building have fun, multi-coloured decor and furnishings alongside antiques and traditional features. Each suite comes with a large double bed and additional sofa bed. The en-suite bathrooms have showers and come with toiletries and bathrobes. All the suites are equipped with Wi-Fi, satellite TVs, coffee makers and fridges.
