Description: Glencoe HouseThis spectacular property enjoys a fabulous location at the foot of Glen Coe, in the western Highlands of Scotland. This historic noble mansion, the former home of Lord Strathcona, has been extensively renovated, and now offers five-star boutique accommodation in a unique Highland setting.Glencoe House is perfect for both leisure and business in this spectacularly beautiful area. For the adventurous, the Glencoe area offers numerous activities such as walking, hiking, fishing, skiing or snowboarding and mountain biking. For guests who wish to take it easier, visits can be arranged to the National Trust visitor centre or the 'Harry Potter' train - the Jacobite Railway - which travels through Glenfinnan. Alternatively, guests may retreat to their suite and relish the view of the Pap of Glencoe mountain or Loch Leven while sitting in front of a roaring fire. Glencoe House offers accommodation in just seven individually designed suites. These magnificent suites, unique in the UK, range in size from eighty to one-hundred and forty-eight square metres, and are luxuriously equipped for thoroughly relaxing stays. All meals, from the magnificent à la carte breakfast to delicious seasonal five-course menus, are served in guests' suites, while picnic lunch boxes are available for those who wish to spend the day in the hills or by the lochs. Tea, coffee and cakes are served in the afternoons, and a fully stocked maxi-bar and a Nespresso machine can be enjoyed at any time of the day. This suite consists of a master bedroom that contains a free-standing slipper bath overlooking the Pap of Glencoe, a second spacious bedroom with views towards the Atlantic Ocean, a large sitting room with an original marble open fireplace. There is also a separate dining room with capacity for 10 - 12 guests and a generously sized shower room and separate WC. One extra-large double bed, two single beds. Suite size 114 sq m. Suite One: This fabulous garden level suite offers fabulous views of Loch Leven and the Atlantic. It has a large terrace, foyer, entrance hallway leading into an enormous sitting room. The spacious bedroom comes with an extra-large double bed, and the en-suite bathroom has twin basins and a vintage style roll-top bathtub. Suite size 120 sq m. Suite Five: Suite Five is a one bedroom suite that looks on to the front lawn and Loch Leven. This suite comprises a bedroom that contains a period fireplace, a light and spacious sitting room with a baby grand piano, a separate dining room, a bathroom that contains two free standing slipper baths and period fireplace, a separate shower room and a study. Suite Two: Suite Two is a one bedroom suite situated on the ground floor and spans the building, thereby enjoying spectacular views of the Pap of Glencoe to the East and Loch Leven to the West and benefits from having a private terrace. The bedroom has spectacular bay windows, and leads into a large en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bathtub and a separate shower. One extra-large double bed. Suite size 127 sq m. Suite Three: This sizeable suite is composed of a Master bedroom, second bedroom, a private bathroom with twin roll-top bathtubs and twin basins, and a separate WC. There is also a study and generous private sitting room. All rooms enjoy panoramic views of Loch Leven and are ideally situated to enjoy the spectacular Highland sunsets. One extra-large double bed and two single beds. Suite size 137 sq m. Suite Seven: Suite Seven is the largest of the Glencoe House suites and decadently occupies the whole of the second floor. It is a two-bedroom suite with the master bedroom having its own dressing room. There is also a spacious lounge, separate dining room, and a large bathroom with two basins and a free-standing bathtub with views of the Pap of Glencoe. Take exit 10 for A85/Stirling/Callander/Crianlarich. Continue on the A84, then the A85, and then on the A82. On the A82, follow signs for Glencoe Village. Continue on the main street, you will pass the village shop on your left hand side, and then you will reach a small, hump-back stone bridge which goes over the River Coe. Then turn second left, sign posted Glencoe Lochan, and stay left where the road divides. You will see Glencoe House ahead of you at the end of the drive. From Glasgow, follow indications for M8/Greenock/Gl'w Airport/Kilmarnock and join the the M8. Take the M898 exit towards Erskine/Bishopton. Follow indications for Great Western Rd/A82 towards Crianlarich. Continue on the A82 as per the indications in the previous section.
