Located in the heart of historic central Charleston, Wentworth Mansion was originally built in 1865 for local magnate Francis Silas Rodgers and his family. After a long and eventful history, the house was purchased by its present owners at the end of the 20th century, and underwent a seven million dollar renovation process. Wentworth Mansion now offers exclusive boutique accommodation, fine gourmet cuisine and top-class service in a magnificent heritage setting.

A historic monument in itself, Wentworth Mansion is ideal for relaxing stays in this fascinating waterfront city. Within easy walking distance from many of Charleston's most important landmarks and attractions, including the French Quarter, The Old Slave Mart Museum, the cathedral, or the Waterfront Park, Wentworth Mansion is also perfect for visiting such historic sites as Fort Sumter, the Middleton Plantation, or the Nathanial Russell House. Within the house itself, guests can marvel at countless period features, such as marble fireplaces, intricate woodwork, crystal chandeliers and stained-glass windows. Garden Rooms:
The Garden Rooms, located on the ground level, offer 53 square metres of beautifully designed space. Each room features a sitting room, a perfect spot to linger over a great book or relax. One king-size bed. These rooms feature an expansive bathroom with oversized whirlpool tub and walk-in shower, and an original gas fireplace (available in select rooms). Some garden rooms are pet-friendly.
Mansion Rooms:
Once the bedrooms of the family that built the Mansion, now an elegant escape for guests from around the world. Each mansion guest room is unique both in size (averaging about 44 square metres) and architectural features. All are beautifully appointed in fine luxury with a king-size bed and an expansive bathroom with oversized whirlpool tub and walk-in shower. Original gas fireplace (available in most rooms). Day bed (available in select rooms).
Mansion Suites:
Generously sized at more than 65 square metres, the Mansion suites provide additional and unique spaces in which to unwind and consider which Charleston landmark to visit next. One king-size bed. Expansive bathroom with an oversized whirlpool tub and a walk-in shower. Original gas fireplace. Sunroom (available in select rooms).
Suite Nine:
An elegant, 74 square-metre escape, Suite Nine is filled with luxurious details, including a king-size bed and an expansive bathroom with an oversized whirlpool tub and a walk-in shower. Original gas fireplace. Library, sunroom and a sleeper sofa.
Grand Mansion Suite:
At 93 square metres, the grand mansion suite more than lives up to its name. Guests can experience the ultimate in luxury in this two-room suite. Two original Italian chandeliers and original Tiffany glass highlight this one-of-a-kind space that's simply perfect for entertaining - or indulging in with a favoured few. One king-size bed. Expansive bathroom with oversized whirlpool tub and walk-in shower. Two floor-to-ceiling marble gas fireplaces. Sleeper sofa.
