Perched high on one of the most beautiful mountain passes in the world, Helshoogte pass, Clouds Estate is a small gem of a boutique hotel, surrounded by its own vineyards in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands. With just seven luxurious rooms and five spacious villas, Clouds Estate offers exclusive boutique accommodation, great food and fine wine in a matchless natural setting.

A wonderful spot for relaxing stays in this beautiful region of Cape Province, Clouds Estate is just ten minutes' drive from the centre of Stellenbosch, yet is surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the region, with fabulous views of the dramatic Jonkershoek's Simonberg and Drankenstein mountains. Outdoor activities available close range from mountain biking and hiking, to horse riding and golf, while cultural attractions and landmarks include the Huguenot Museum in Franschhoek or the Rupert Museum in Stellenbosch. Wine tastings and cellar visits can naturally be arranged, both on the estate and at other wineries in the region.

Clouds serves delicious, elegant comfort food, based on seasonally changing menus using fresh, locall sourced ingredients. Clouds Estate's expert chefs create a small selection of dishes every day, and special diet requirements or vegetarian cuisine are available on request.

Room 3:
This is the only Standard room and overlooks the majestic Drakenstein Mountains.  It features ceiling to floor sliding doors that lead onto a spacious balcony.  Balcony seating and a small table is provided. The room has a king-size bed, and can be converted to twins.  In the room guests will find a laptop safe, fluffy gowns, complimentary flip-flops, complimentary mini-bar (stocked on arrival), Nespresso maker, kettle, and some glassware for the wine. Mulberry silk duvet inners are used, king-size pillows, easy access reading lamps as well as soft/mood lighting for ambiance. The bathroom has a shower (no bath).  Double basins, heated towel rail and underfloor heating complete the picture.
Room 1:
Room 1 is a Luxury room and overlooks Simonsberg Mountain.  Guests can open the ceiling to floor sliding doors and enjoy the view from the balcony.  Balcony seating and a small table is provided. The room has a king-size bed that can be converted to twins. In the room, guests will find a laptop safe, fluffy gowns, complimentary flip-flops, complimentary mini-bar (stocked on arrival), Nespresso maker, kettle, and glassware for the wine. A private entrance separate from the hotel leads to a light and airy room overlooking Simonsberg Mountain. Ceiling to floor sliding doors open up to a magnificent vista. Balcony seating and a small table are provided. The room has a king-size bed facing the view, but can also be converted to twins. The room is equipped with a laptop safe, fluffy gowns, complimentary flip-flops, complimentary mini-bar (stocked on arrival), Nespresso maker, kettle, and glassware for the wine. The superior room has a private entrance separate from the hotel, and opens up to a balcony facing Simonsberg Mountain and a second extra large deck with a private Jacuzzi, umbrella and sun loungers. The room has a king-size bed, and is equipped with a laptop safe, fluffy gowns, complimentary flip-flops, complimentary mini-bar (stocked on arrival), Nespresso maker, kettle, and glassware for the wine. Deluxe Villas:
The estate's designer villas are set in landscaped gardens and are surrounded by vineyards. The villas offer fantastic views that can be experienced from the balcony. It's a perfect setting for an al-fresco lunch or dinner. When relaxing indoors, air-conditioning in summer, and underfloor heating in the winter months make for perfect temperatures during all seasons. Each villa offers a Nespresso coffee machine, Smart TV, iPad docking station, satellite TV and Blu-Ray DVD. The bathrooms are kitted out with luxurious Charlotte Rhys toiletries, a high-quality hairdryer, complimentary flip-flops and heated towel rails. 
Villa 8:
The villa closest to the pool has a gorgeous layout, with its corner kitchenette, full size fridge/freezer, stove top and oven, microwave, Nespresso maker, kettle, crockery and cutlery.  Each villa has a large dining table. Large ceiling to floor sliding doors open to a spacious balcony with seating. There is a TV and DVD player in the lounge. The bedroom has a king-size bed and can be switched into twin beds. The bedroom does not have a TV or a view. The couch in the lounge can convert to a sleeper couch for up to two additional persons sharing the villa. The spacious bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. Double basins, heated towel rail and underfloor heating are here for guests comfort and convenience.
Villa 9:
Sharing a wall with Villa 8, this villa is cool and comfortable.  The kitchenette has a full size fridge/freezer, stove top and oven, microwave, Nespresso maker, kettle and enough crockery and cutlery for six persons.  A dining table also seats up to six persons, with two comfortable chairs and a couch that can convert to a double bed sleeper couch.  Large ceiling to floor sliding doors open to a spacious balcony with seating. TV in the lounge but not in the bedroom. The bedroom has a king-size bed and can be switched into twin beds. The bedroom does not have a view of the mountain, but overlooks a garden. The spacious bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. Double basins, heated towel rail and underfloor heating are here for guests comfort and convenience.
Villa 10:
This villa has an inter-leading door, sharing it with villa 11 and booking both villas together are ideal for larger groups of people. The kitchenette has a full size fridge/freezer, stove top and oven, microwave, Nespresso maker, kettle and enough crockery and cutlery for six persons.  A dining table also seats up to six persons, with two comfortable chairs and a couch that can convert to a double bed sleeper couch.  Large ceiling to floor sliding doors open to a spacious balcony with seating. TV in the lounge but not in the bedroom. The bedroom has a king-size bed and can be switched into twin beds. The bedroom does not have a view of the mountain, but overlooks our garden. The bathroom has a shower, but no bath. Double basins, heated towel rail and underfloor heating are installed. Being one of two villas at the front of the property, it has uninterrupted views of both Simonsberg and the Drakenstein mountains, and as far as the Matroos mountains in the distance, with its snow covered peaks in winter.
Villa 11:
Villa 11 inter-leads with villa 10 and can be booked together (subject to availability). The kitchenette has a full size fridge/freezer, stove top and oven, microwave, Nespresso maker, kettle and enough crockery and cutlery for six persons.  A dining table also seats up to six persons, with two comfortable chairs and a couch that can convert to a double bed sleeper couch. Large ceiling to floor sliding doors open to a spacious balcony with seating. The bedroom has a king-size bed and can be switched into twin beds. The bedroom does not have a view of the mountain, but overlooks our garden. TV in the lounge but not in the bedroom. The bathroom has a shower, but no bath. This is the ideal villa for guests who like to relax away from the buzz, it is furthest from the pool and the only stand-alone villa at Clouds. The kitchenette has a full size fridge/freezer, stove top and oven, microwave, Nespresso maker, kettle and enough crockery and cutlery for six persons.  A dining table also seats up to six persons, with two comfortable chairs and a couch that can convert to a double bed sleeper couch.  Large ceiling to floor sliding doors open to a spacious balcony with seating. TV in the lounge but not in the bedroom. The bedroom has a king-size bed and can be changed into twins.  This cosy bedroom does not have a view of the mountains. The bathroom has a shower, but no bath. Double basins, a heated towel rail and underfloor heating are installed. It has a perfect view of Simonsberg mountain and one can see as far as the Matroos mountains in the distance, with its snow covered peaks in winter.
