Located in Harads, near the Lule river, Tree Hotel is a unique hotel experience, featuring just six individually designed and built units, suspended four to six metres above the ground in a beautiful forest overlooking the river. Each of Tree Hotel's units was designed by a leading Scandinavian architectural studio, conceived with ecological values to the fore, and planned and built to make a minimal environmental impact. The tree rooms offer varying solutions to the principal design brief, but all offer spacious comfort and ecologically friendly solutions with great views of the woods and the river. Reception, the dining area and showers are located in the Brittas Hostel, just a few steps from the Treehotel units. Featuring an authentic 1930s to 1950s design and atmosphere, the Brittas Hostel has a restaurant, bar, a sauna and a relaxation area, along with TV and internet. Treehotel offers a fabulous range of outdoor natural activities in all seasons, including hiking, mountain biking, wildlife safaris and sea-kayaking on the Lule River in summer, and dog sled tours, fat-bike riding, Nordic ski-touring or snowmobile safaris in winter, among countless other options.
