Description: El Cresol de CalaceiteLocated in the heart of the spectacular Matarraña region, El Cresol de Calaceite stands in a delightfully restored former oil mill, originally built in 1735. Here elements rescued from the past are combined with modern décor, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This charming property offers comfortable accommodation in just six rooms and suites. There are three Suites with living areas and beautiful views of the "Ports de Beseit", and three double rooms. All have been meticulously furnished and equipped with designer bathrooms and original works of art. The hall, dominated by a spectacular threshing machine, opens to diverse spaces, inviting guests to relax and enjoy their stay. Type of rooms: El Cresol de CalaceiteAlechin:The name of this room is inspired by a typical kind of olive from the Valencia region. This double room, facing a street in the old quarter, is decorated with stone and soft colours, combining an ambience with rustic and avant garde elements. Very originally finished lights and a chair by Charles Eames provide a warm atmosphere, complemented with a picture by the artist Rosario Beltrán. Grossal: The name of this room comes from Alicante and it refers to a fleshy, tasty olive. A double room with design and comfort. A leather armchair and rustic elements are combined with contemporary elements to create a cosy and intimate atmosphere. This room is a highly convenient option for a relaxing weekend. Hojiblanca: The most aromatic olive introduces a highly unusual room. An attic room with a terrace for enjoying the starry nights of the Matarraña. A king size bed stands in the middle of the room with an ancient column by its headboard, a relic of this historic building. A sliding partition gives access to the in-room bathroom. A modern altarpiece from artist Concha Prada decorates the living room area. Picual: This attic room takes its name from the most cultivated olive in Spain. Spacious and very light thanks to a large window with spectacular views. An ancient Romanesque column separates the living area and sleeping zone in the middle of the room, contrasting with a highly contemporary style. On the walls, two photographs from artist Norbert Ernst, from his collection "Clavos" ("Nails"), show images of the unusual door of the Church of the Asunción in Calaceite. Arbequina Suite: This olive comes from Les Garrigues and it is one of the most cultivated in the area. Its name has been given to a highly unusual room where the sleeping area and living room share the same space in a large room with Oriental influences. An ancient chinese kimono or "Hanfu" crowns the bed. On the walls, handwritten oriental brush-strokes, ancient Chinese shoes and a Chinese marionette from the 19th century can be admired. Five windows also give great views of the Beseit mountains. Empeltre Suite: The local olive gives its name to a large room with a colonial style furniture. Facing two large windows with fine views, the large double bed stands below a painting by Valencian artist Jose Luis Albelda. The rest of the room includes a comfortable living room with sofa and chaise longue sharing space with a writing desk.
