Description: Villa BordoniEnjoying an idyllic location in the heart of the Chianti Classico, between Siena and Florence, Villa Bordoni is set in a meticulously restored and maintained Patrician Villa, dating as far back as the 11th century. After a long and eventful history, Villa Bordoni was purchased by its present owners in the late 1990s, and after a lengthy process of renovation, opened as a boutique hotel in 2006.Surrounded by beautiful Tuscan landscapes of vineyards and olive groves, Villa Bordoni offers fabulous views from many of its public areas, rooms and suites. Standing in a lovely Mediterranean garden, the villa also boasts a large outdoor pool, sun-loungers and parasols. Nearby attractions include Montefioralle and the historic market town of Greve in Chianti, while Florence, Siena, Lucca or Arezzo are all within easy driving distance. The restaurant at Villa Bordoni offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the best of Tuscany's cuisine, with meticulously prepared dishes based on the finest, locally sourced and seasonal produce, including the region's excellent meat and game, and Tuscany's delicately flavoured olive oil, porcini mushrooms or luxurious truffles. The Villa's ancient cellar, housed in the historic dungeon, has a carefully selected range of wines from the Chianti Clasico and Tuscany wine regions, including some of the finest local boutique producers. Villa Bordoni's own wine bar in Panzano is a charming spot to sample these wines, and cookery classes and other culinary events are also organised on a regular basis.
